Terms of Service

Last updated 12 August 2026

These terms form the agreement between you and MoneyChief when you open an account, hold a balance, send money, or use a MoneyChief card. By creating an account you accept them.

1. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract in your country of residence. Accounts are personal to you: you may not let anyone else use your account, credentials, virtual accounts, or cards.

You must give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date. We may suspend or close an account where information is inaccurate, where verification cannot be completed, or where we are required to do so by law.

2. Verification

Before you can send or receive money we must verify your identity, and in some cases your source of funds. We may ask for further information at any time. Until verification is complete, some features are unavailable and funds may be held.

3. Virtual accounts and balances

Where available, we provide dedicated account details in the United States, United Kingdom and Eurozone so you can receive funds. These details are issued through regulated partner institutions and must only be used to receive money that belongs to you.

A MoneyChief balance is not a bank deposit and does not earn interest. Funds are held with regulated partner institutions and are available for you to send, convert, or withdraw in line with these terms.

4. Transfers, rates and pricing

MoneyChief charges no transfer fee. The exchange rate shown to you before you confirm a transfer is the rate applied to your transfer, and includes our margin. The amount your recipient receives is shown before you confirm.

Rates are indicative until you confirm. A quote expires after a short window; if it lapses we will re-quote before executing. Once a transfer is confirmed it cannot normally be cancelled, because settlement begins immediately.

Delivery times depend on the destination rail, the receiving institution, and any checks required. We publish typical times, not guarantees.

5. Recipient details are your responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of the recipient details you enter. Where a destination supports name checking we will show you the result, but we cannot recover funds sent to an account you entered incorrectly if the receiving institution will not return them.

6. Cards

Where you are issued a MoneyChief card, it may only be used by you and only for lawful purchases. You can freeze, unfreeze, or terminate a card in the app. Spend limits, currency and availability are shown when the card is issued.

7. Prohibited use

You may not use MoneyChief for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, sanctions evasion, gambling where prohibited, adult services, weapons, illegal drugs, or any activity that is unlawful where you or your recipient are located.

We monitor for prohibited activity and may refuse, delay, reverse, or report a transaction, and freeze or close an account, where we reasonably suspect it.

8. Suspension, closure and refunds

You may close your account at any time once no transfer is in flight. We may suspend or close an account with notice, or immediately where required by law or where there is a risk of loss or misuse. On closure we return any remaining balance to you, subject to our legal obligations.

Where a payout fails and funds are returned to us, we credit them back to your balance in the original currency at the applicable rate.

9. Liability

We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our failure to provide the service with reasonable care. We are not liable for losses caused by incorrect details you supplied, by a recipient institution, or by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. Where a change materially affects you we will notify you in advance. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the change.
